This training is required by regulation V/2, paragraph 7 of the STCW 95 Convention for masters, chief mates, chief engineer officers, second engineer officers and persons assigned immediate responsibility for embarking and disembarking passengers, for loading, discharging or securing cargo or for closing hull openings shall at least ensure attainment of the abilities that are appropriate to their duties and responsibilities.
This half-day course can be conducted on board and an appropriate certificate will be issued to participants on successful completion.
